Paraphilias refer to atypical sexual interests in targets (e.g., Pedophilia), activities (e.g., Voyeurism), or objects (e.g., Fetishism). Although paraphilic interests and sexual offending are not synonymous, paraphilias have been considered as an important factor in some instances of sexual offending perpetrated against children and adults. The article collection focuses on paraphilias in community samples who may be at risk of sexual offending or among those who have sexually offended.
