All contributions will be initially assessed by the editors for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable will typically be reviewed by two or more independent reviewers, however the minimum is one independent reviewer. The journal conducts a single blind review process. Anonymization of manuscripts is not needed.
Authors are required to suggest at least three reviewers of their work and likewise can rule out max. two reviewers they might think unsuitable. Editors are free to follow these suggestions or to invite other reviewers they deem more suitable.
Editorials, letters, and commentaries are assessed by the editorial team only and are screened with respect to the level of scholarship, reliability of information provided, and interest to the scientific community. They exclusively express the opinion of the author/s.
